Today, the bodies of 44 defenders were successfully brought back. The repatriation was carried out with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration, the Authorized Person on Missing Persons, in collaboration with the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) with the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), other law enforcement agencies, and international organizations.
It should be noted that the transfer of the bodies of deceased military personnel is conducted in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions. After identification, the bodies of our defenders will be handed over to their families for a dignified burial.
