Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov made this statement during a press conference.
“The preparation is coming to an end. If we talk about it globally, in a high percentage mode, we are ready, and further questions will be for the General Staff and the commanders. As soon as God permits, the weather is good, and the commanders make a decision – we will do it”, he said.
The Defense Minister emphasized that Ukrainian defenders still need to master the new military equipment provided by allies.
“Tank Abrams will not have time to participate in this counteroffensive, but our crews have already gone for training. However, in addition, we have a large number of armored vehicles of various types – APCs and BMPs. This includes Bradley, Marder, Stryker, and CV 90 from Sweden. The preparatory courses are still being completed there”, Reznikov noted.
The head of the Ministry of Defense stated that Ukraine already has modern armored vehicles, including Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 tanks, as well as armored vehicles of various types. The promised Leopard 1 and Abrams tanks will be delivered later.
“We can absolutely clearly state that we have heavy artillery of 155 mm, HIMARS, armored vehicles of almost all the main known types and brands, a tank coalition has been created, and Patriot is on combat duty, although at one time it caused hysteria in the orcs when they shouted that Patriot in Poland is already a crossing of ‘red lines’ by the West”, added Reznikov.
