Ukraine shoots down 79% of enemy drones

Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, presented the fresh statistics at a Kyiv briefing on the security situation in Ukraine on Thursday, October 27.

“The effectiveness of our air defense system also remains at a fairly high level, accounting for 79% of the enemy’s drones shot down. In the last day alone, our air defenses destroyed 18 out of 20 kamikaze drones,” the official noted.

According to Hromov, over the past week, Ukraine’s defenders have destroyed six Ka-52, Mi-24, and Mi-28 Russian attack helicopters. The total number of downed Russian helicopters stands at about 250, which is equal to five army aviation regiments.

“Therefore, we can congratulate all the crews of Russia’s army aviation on their upcoming professional holiday, which is marked tomorrow. They may fly in, and we’ll be shooting them down,” stressed the General Staff official.

As reported, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
