Ukraine’s agri exports down by 800,000 t in Nov

That’s according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

“In particular, in the 2.5 months of autumn, 16.6 million tonnes of agricultural products was supplied outside Ukraine, of which 2.8 million tonnes was sent the first 15 days of November. This is 800,000 tonnes below the volumes reported as of the first half of October,” the report says.

It is noted that in the first two weeks, about 1.5 million tonnes of agricultural products was exported through the “grain corridor”.

Throughout this period, 829,000 tonnes of wheat and 774,000 tonnes of corn was exported from Ukraine. As of mid-October, more of these grain crops were transported, the volume of each was more than 1 million tonnes. Also, in the first half of November, Ukraine exported 307,000 tonnes of sunflower oil, which is 42,000 tonnes more than as of mid-October.

In addition, during the first 15 days of November, the volume of soybean export increased to 199,000 tonnes, while in the same period in October it stood at 118,000 tonnes. Also, 186,000 tonnes of sunflower seeds was exported, which is 34,000 tonnes more against October.

At the same time, rapeseed supplies decreased by more than 50%: 183,000 tonnes in 15 days of November against 341,000 tonnes in 15 days of October. Meal deliveries decreased by 84,000 tonnes as 173,000 tonnes was exported over the two weeks of November. The volume of barley shipments in November did not change, amounting to 166,000 tonnes

In the first half of November, Ukraine exported 1.9 million tonnes of agricultural products by sea and river ports, 541,000 tonnes – by rail, 325,000 tonnes – by road transport, and 30,000 tonnes – by ferry.

In the overall structure of agricultural exports for the first 15 days of November, the share of wheat stands at 29.33%, corn – at 27.39%, sunflower oil – at 10.86%, soybeans – at 7.05%, rapeseed – at 6.48%, sunflower seeds – at 6.6%, meal – at 6.13%, barley – at 5.88%, and soybean oil – at 0.28%.

In general, since the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has exported 29.1 million tonnes of grains, legumes, oil crops and processed products, including 11.1 million tonnes of corn, 6.3 million tonnes of wheat, 2.6 million tonnes of sunflower oil, 2.6 million tonnes of rapeseed, 2.2 million tonnes of sunflower seeds, and 1.2 million tonnes os soybeans.

As reported earlier, in October 2022, Ukraine exported 6.9 million tonnes of agricultural products via all routes available at the time.
