Ukrainian air defense forces shoot down 54 of 69 missiles fired by Russians

Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this at a briefing.

“The enemy launched air and sea-based cruise missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles and S-300 and S-400 systems missiles on energy and critical infrastructure facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions. More than 69 missiles were used. 54 missiles were destroyed by air defense forces,” he said.

As reported, on the morning of December 29, Russian troops attacked Ukraine from various directions with cruise missiles fired from strategic aircraft and ships.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 16 missiles in the sky over Kyiv.

Twenty-one enemy missiles were shot down over Odesa.

Emergency power outages have been introduced in Odesa.
