As of 18:00 on October 26, Russian troops are trying to hold temporarily captured territories and concentrating their efforts on restraining the actions of the Ukrainian defense forces in separate directions. At the same time, the enemy is continuing to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
The enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire contact line, equipping defensive positions and lines in separate directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war, the enemy strikes critical infrastructure and the homes of the civilian population.
It was established that Russian troops are continuing to equip defensive lines on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
The invaders are limiting the right of free movement of civilians in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, residents of Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region were banned from leaving the village.
Meanwhile, work is underway in Russia to replenish combat losses. Representatives of private military companies are recruiting convicts held in the prisons of the city of Bryansk and the Bryansk region.
The General Staff confirmed Ukrainian strikes on enemy positions in the past few days. According to the report, outside the settlements of Korzhove and Mykolaivka in the Luhansk region, Russian troops lost about 60 soldiers, including at least ten officers.
