According to Thomas-Greenfield, as winter approaches, the United States is very focused on Ukraine’s energy needs.
“We refuse to let Ukrainians freeze or starve because of Russia’s brutal, unnecessary, illegal and inhumane war,” Thomas-Greenfield stressed.
Today Thomas-Greenfield has visited an IDP collective center partially funded by USAID, which is ensuring displaced people have food, shelter and warmth this coming winter.
“And there I was proud to announce an additional $25 million from USAID to support vulnerable people in Ukraine during the harsh winter ahead,” Thomas-Greenfield noted.
A reminder that, on November 8, 2022, U.S. Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield arrived in Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
