“We’ve been in regular contact with our Ukrainian partners. We’re sharing the information that we have,” he said.
Blinken noted that the investigation is ongoing but the U.S. has “seen nothing so far that contradicts [Polish] President [Andrzej] Duda’s preliminary assessment that that this was likely the result of a Ukrainian air defense missile that unfortunately landed in Poland.”
However, Blinken again said that “no matter the exact details of this incident, Russia is responsible for what happened,” because of Moscow’s aggressive barrage of missile strikes and perpetuation of the war.
