“We emphasize that the equipment was found not directly in Valeriy Zaluzhny’s office but in one of the premises that could be used by him in the future,” specified the special service.
According to preliminary information, the discovered device was in non-working condition. No information storage devices or means of remotely transmitting audio recordings were found. This technical device will be sent for examination.
The investigation has been opened under Article 359 Part 2 (illegal acquisition, sale, or use of special technical means for obtaining information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier, sources in military circles informed Ukrainska Pravda that a wiretapping device was found in the office of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny. According to the sources, the device was discovered on Sunday during an inspection. Additionally, wiretapping devices were found among Zaluzhny’s personnel.
