Zelensky will attend NATO summit in Vilnius, Stoltenberg says

Stoltenberg made the announcement at a briefing ahead of a meeting in the “Ramstein” format. According to him, Zelensky accepted the invitation and will attend the summit.

“I have discussed with Zelensky the preparations for the NATO summit in July, I have invited him, and I am pleased that he has accepted the invitation and will attend the summit”, Stoltenberg said.

He added that the meeting will confirm support for Ukraine to the extent necessary.

Yesterday, April 20, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kyiv. He met with the head of state, Zelensky. At a joint press conference, the Alliance’s secretary-general noted that the issue of Ukraine’s membership in NATO and guarantees of its security will be an important part of the agenda of the July summit in Vilnius. He also said that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is well deserved.
