A ground operation will be needed to liberate Crimea – Main Intelligence Directorate

This was shared by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Kirilo Budanov during a televised marathon.

“The aim was for them to remember and believe that victory is not far away, and their liberation is not far away, that no one has forgotten about them. And when certain strikes are carried out in Crimea, it won’t end with just that”, said the GUR head.

According to him, a ground operation will be needed to de-occupy the peninsula. Budanov also noted that the war will continue until Ukraine achieves a complete victory and regains control over all its territory as of 1991. The head of GUR emphasized that there is no other way except for the return of our territories.

“What specific variant it will be – that’s not my question at all. The only thing I can say is that without the use of force, it’s impossible to achieve anything here”, he added.

Recall that according to the head of GUR, Ukraine already has the capability to reach any part of Crimea to eliminate the positions of Russian forces and their military equipment. Earlier, Budanov emphasized that there are numerous options for the de-occupation of Crimea, but “without military, combat actions, it’s impossible”.
