This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kuleba.
“The children’s safety is a priority for everyone who is responsible for organizing the school year. It is about both safety during air raid sirens and the safety of the educational process in general. To do this, starting in July, we conducted inspections of shelters in and next to educational institutions,” Kuleba said.
According to him, in the Kyiv region, the commission has inspected 96% of educational institutions and recommended the use of 1,058 shelters. Most of them are the simplest shelters.
Reconstruction of shelters continues. Educational institutions prepare the necessary supplies of water and food, purchase backup and autonomous sources of energy saving in case of a power outage.
