Another caravan of grain ships leaves Ukrainian ports

The Ministry of Infrastructure wrote this on Facebook.

“The bulk carrier NEW ISLAND, chartered by the UN World Food Program (WFP), has left the port of Chornomorsk. It is carrying 30,000 tonnes of wheat for the people of Ethiopia,” the report reads.

It is noted that the bulk carrier joined the caravan with two other vessels that left the ports of Odesa and Pivdennyi. These ships will deliver a total of 56,600 tonnes of wheat and corn for countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Since the start of the Grain Initiative, 6.39 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from Ukraine.

In total, 285 ships carrying agricultural products for the countries of Asia, Europe, and Africa departed from three ports in Ukraine.
