Around 106,000 civilians have been evacuated from the conflict-affected areas of Ukraine

The evacuation is currently ongoing in Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, according to a statement of the Ministry of Reintegration.

“Mandatory evacuation has been ongoing in Donetsk region since August 2022. Within eight months, more than 60,000 citizens have been relocated to safe regions, including over 7,000 children and more than 2,500 people with limited mobility”, the statement read.

Evacuation from the liberated territories, which began last fall, is also continuing. In seven months, nearly 25,000 people have been evacuated from Kharkiv region, and over 21,000 citizens have been evacuated from recently liberated areas of Kherson region in five months.

“The preparation and planning of all measures for the centralized relocation of citizens to safe regions of Ukraine are carried out in advance. The President, the government, local authorities, international organizations, and volunteers are making every effort to ensure the safety of our fellow citizens”, emphasized the Ministry of Reintegration.

It should be noted that compulsory evacuation of children was announced in 21 settlements in Donetsk region. There are five evacuation teams called “White Angels” operating in the region, which provide safe transportation of children in armored vehicles.
