“Eleven Shahed drones were eliminated. On the night of July 12, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from the northeast direction (Kursk) using Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones”, the statement reads.
It is specified that a total of 15 kamikaze drones were involved in the attack, with 11 of them being destroyed within the responsibility zones of the air commands “Center” and “East”.
Air defense missile units, strike aviation, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and anti-aircraft defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.
It should be noted that yesterday, on July 11, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine using attack drones, of which 26 out of 28 were successfully shot down by the air defense forces.
