First and foremost, they confirmed their unequivocal condemnation of Russia’s long-standing aggressive war against Ukraine.
“Germany remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Germany highly appreciates the determination and courage of the Ukrainian people and its armed forces in defending against Russian aggression and ensuring a free and democratic future for Ukraine. Germany will continue to provide political, financial, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine as much as needed on an individual basis and through international cooperation within the European Union, G7, NATO, the UN, and other formats”, the FRG stated.
As stated in the OP, Germany has made an unprecedented, significant, and powerful contribution to military assistance to Ukraine by transferring or purchasing various weapons systems from its own reserves, including valuable and effective missile and artillery systems for air defense.
In particular, the main battle tanks Leopard 1, armored combat vehicles, artillery systems, aviation observation and counter-battery radars, as well as tons of ammunition for tanks, artillery, air defense, and small arms were transferred.
“In close cooperation with its partners, Germany has also established support and service centers for the delivered systems. In addition, Germany has reserved over 11 billion euros for 2023 and beyond to continue its military support for Ukraine. Germany will continue to support Ukraine in strengthening its defense capabilities, providing specialized packages to the new Ukrainian Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format — an important platform for coordinating military and defense assistance to Ukraine”, added the Office of the President.
