This information was provided by GUR representative Major General Vadym Skibitsky in an interview with the “Ukrainska Pravda.”
According to him, the Main Intelligence Directorate seeks to strike at critical objects within Russia’s defense-industrial complex. Some production facilities are unique in their capabilities.
“For instance, if you target a facility that produces certain components, and those components can only be manufactured at that specific facility, it would enable us to slow down or halt the production of weaponry”, Skibitsky explained.
The intelligence officer also mentioned that GUR has its own methodology for identifying the most critical objects in Russia’s defense-industrial complex and incapacitating them, not only through drone strikes but also through “other methods”.
It’s worth noting that on October 4, Special Forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense carried out an operation in Crimea, targeting Russian occupiers.
