Zelensky shared this before a meeting with the defense ministers of NATO countries in Brussels.
“There are priorities: air defense systems, a defensive shield. These are not just words, but very specific things, and we need them in very specific geographical locations in our land to protect the energy grid, people, grain, and its supply routes to Africa, Asia, and the world”, he said.
According to Zelensky, this also concerns long-range missiles and long-range weaponry.
“It doesn’t matter how you name it; the problem is how to obtain it. Because we need it for a fundamental reason – to push Russia out of our land”, he emphasized.
“And the third thing is how to defend, how to simply stand every day and defend. It’s not about a counteroffensive. A counteroffensive is one direction, but we also need to defend because on the other side is Russia, a large army of terrorists”, Zelensky added.
He explained that this relates to the needs for artillery. It is worth noting that it was announced today that Zelensky arrived in Brussels with an unannounced visit to participate in a “Ramstein” format meeting.
