“We will meet at 19:00 on Trukhaniv Island (descent from the Pedestrian Bridge)… Participation in the marathon is free, and participants can get a printout with the logo and hashtag #runforAzovstal at the meeting place. A 3 km route for a marathon will also be announced there. Participants can run a long or short distance, or choose the route themselves,” the organizers said.

Before the start of the race, participants will be instructed on actions to be taken in the event of an air raid sirens in Kyiv.

“We definitely advise you to listen to the instructions, because safety is an important factor in holding this important event for all of us,” the Association added.

In addition, the Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal said that the race in the capital will not have a finish line and will not complete the marathon.

“The finish of the project will be upon the return home of all the captured heroes of Azovstal,” the message says.
