Pyrotechnicians have already neutralized over 57.8 thousand explosive objects in the Kyiv region

Since the beginning of demining processes in the Kyiv region, 57,850 explosive objects have already been neutralized. Currently, pyrotechnicians are inspecting the fields before farmers start harvesting. During August 2, 526 units of ammunition were neutralized in the region. This is stated in the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“Missile fragments, cluster munition elements of salvo fire and unexploded ammunition – this is the “harvest” currently collected by pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service in the fields of the region, before the farmers begin to harvest their own,” the message reads.

For farmers safety, pyrotechnicians carefully inspect the fields, and if an explosive object is detected, they first qualify it and only then decide how to neutralize it. Ammunition is moved to a specially designated place and neutralized by controlled detonation.

As of August 2, pyrotechnicians discovered and neutralized 57,850 units of explosive objects, inspected more than 19,000 hectares of the territory of Buchansky, Brovarsky and Vyshhorodsky districts.

According to information from the Department of State Emergency Services in the Kyiv region, on August 2, 526 explosive objects were detected and neutralized in the region. Pyrotechnic units made 41 trips per day, 15.00 hectares of territory inspected.
