This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.
“We continue the defense that we started on February 24, 2022. The defensive operation includes everything, including counteroffensive actions. Therefore, in some directions, we are transitioning to offensive actions”, she noted.
Maliar emphasizes that the epicenter of the fighting remains the Bakhmut direction.
“There, we are moving on a fairly wide front. We are making progress. We are occupying dominant heights. The enemy is in defense and wants to hold their positions”, said the deputy minister.
According to her, in the south, the enemy is in a defensive position, and there are ongoing battles of local significance.
