Intelligence: Russia had prior knowledge of HAMAS attack on Israel

This was reported by the representative of Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Andriy Yusov, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

“According to GUR data, the leadership of Russia knew that Hamas was preparing a terrorist attack on Israel. Moscow provided the militants with weaponry they had managed to capture during the war against Ukraine”, he said.

Furthermore, Ukrainian intelligence has learned that Russian private military companies (PMCs) are cooperating with Hamas, particularly in terms of exchanging combat experience.

“At present, the Kremlin is exploiting the Hamas attack as a means to further propagate anti-Ukraine propaganda and to divert the world’s attention from Russian aggression”, Yusov explained.

According to GUR assessments, several groups operating in conflict zones are exclusively serving Russia’s interests on behalf of Russian intelligence agencies.
