Coveney reminded that Ireland allocated EUR 55 million to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and accepted 50,000 Ukrainian refugees.
He stressed that Ireland will be a really powerful partner and will help Ukraine until the war ends, adding that the assistance will continue in the future as well, in particular during the post-war reconstruction of the country and on Ukraine’s path to achieving full membership in the EU.
Coveney also emphasized that Ukraine currently protects the values that unite the European Union.
