Residents of Kyiv and Kyiv region are invited to a Sunday cleaning works on the Borshchagivka River, which is a tributary of the Irpin River. This is stated in the message of the “Borshchagivka is Europe” community.
Until recently, the river was erroneously called Nyvka.
“The Borshchagivka River is an amazing place of nature that few people know about, even among those who have lived in Borshchagivka for 30 years. It’s like an uncut diamond – you have to be able to see it through the trash that’s there now,” the post states.
Cleaning of the territory is scheduled for August 7.
“Meeting near the sign at 12:00. The duration is two hours. You can take contractor bags and gloves with you,” the message says.
The organizers of the event note that this will be “the third Toloka (cleaning – ed.) in this place”.
The Borshchagivka River is about 20 km long and flows through the territory of Kyiv and the suburban Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district of the Kyiv region. The right tributary of the Irpin (Dnipro basin). A feature of the river is about 20 lakes along its entire length.
