More than 60 forcibly displaced people from Mariupol attended free excursions from the Department of Tourism and Promotions of the Kyiv City State Administration of the CE “Kyiv City Tourist and Information Center” in cooperation with the “YAMariupol” center. This was announced on Facebook by the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Marina Khonda.
In just three weeks, more than 200 people visited them.
“Kyiv is a hospitable city and we must make the temporary stay of displaced persons as comfortable as possible. To give people the opportunity to forget the horrors of the war, which Russia brought with it, at least a little,” she writes.
During the walks, the participants get to know the main tourist places of the capital — from Khreshchatyk to the historical heart of Kyiv – Andriiivsky Uzviz, accompanied by an experienced guide.
“Such walks on various topics, for example, “Kyiv – unbreakable” or “Kyiv – historical”, take place once a week and can be visited by anyone who wishes to do so with prior registration. You can follow the announcements of walks on the page of the Department of Tourism and Promotions,” Khonda concludes.
