Montenegro donating 11% of its military budget to support Ukraine

This is underscored in the official statement by the Government of Montenegro on the occasion of signing a joint declaration on the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Ukraine.

“The Government of Montenegro shows clear determination to support the defence of Ukrainians together with its allies, both by donating 11% of funds from the military budget and by receiving thousands of refugees,” reads the document.

It is noted that signing the document is another confirmation of Montenegro’s support for Ukraine in its efforts to become a full-fledged member of the Euro-Atlantic society.

As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović signed the Joint Declaration on the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine on December 5.
