This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.
“Russia’s destructive policy makes it impossible to compile an inspection plan in accordance with the procedures of the SCF, which require daily coordination of all parties involved in the inspection plan for both incoming and outgoing vessels”, the statement said.
As of today, 90 vessels are awaiting inspection in the territorial waters of Turkey, of which 62 are vessels heading for loading. Inspections of both incoming and outgoing fleets have been suspended.
It is noted that in April, exports of Ukrainian agricultural products via the grain corridor did not even reach 3 million tons.
“Ukraine categorically rejects Russia’s attempts to stop the registration and inspection of incoming fleets, which should take place in view of the working initiative. We are waiting for the position of partners, the UN, and Turkey”, the Ministry added.
It should be recalled that Ukraine loaded the least amount of vessels with grain in a week since the beginning of the year. From April 24 to 30, only 450.3 thousand tons of food were exported through the seaports of Odessa.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, Yuriy Vaskov, stated that Russia had brought the grain deal to a “critical situation”. At the same time, over 8 months of operation of the “grain corridor”, Ukraine exported more than 26 million tons of agricultural products.
