Russia has agreed to extend the “grain deal” for two months

This was reported by the Russian propaganda media “RIA Novosti.”

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the President of Russia, stated that there is a “relative outcome” in the negotiations.

“We can confirm that the decision has been made by the Russian side to extend this ‘Black Sea Agreement’ for two months. There is a relative outcome in the negotiations involving representatives of Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN”, Peskov told journalists.

According to Alexander Kubrakov, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, who mentioned it on his Facebook page, the agreement will be in effect until July 18.

“I would like to note that the Grain Initiative was and remains in effect, as it was extended in March for a term of 120 days, until July 18. As of today, 30.4 million tons of agricultural products have already been shipped to meet the world’s needs”, added the minister.

As we reported, Russia has once again blocked the registration and inspection of vessels headed for Ukrainian ports, completely contradicting the terms of the “grain deal”.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, Yuriy Vaskov, stated that Russia had brought the grain deal to a “critical situation”. At the same time, over 8 months of operation of the “grain corridor”, Ukraine exported more than 26 million tons of agricultural products.
