This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
“In particular, aerial power transmission lines were disconnected in the Khmelnytskyi region. Three populated areas in the region are without power, affecting 1,700 consumers. Additionally, as a result of the recent massive shelling, two populated areas in the Zaporizhia region and three populated areas in the Mykolaiv region have been left without electricity”, the statement reads.
Due to previous shelling, a portion of consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions remain without power. Energy workers continue to restore the power supply where the security situation allows.
Furthermore, last night the interstate power transmission line with Hungary was disconnected. The location of the damage has been identified on the territory of Hungary, and repairs are underway.
It is worth mentioning that Oleksiy Orzhel, the head of the Energy Sector at the Office of Effective Regulation, shared on KYIV24 TV how to overcome the electricity shortage in the summer. According to him, one option is to import electricity from neighboring countries.
