Russians carry out 40-50 assaults on Bakhmut daily, says the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar.

“The enemy carries out from 40 to 50 assaults and over 500 shellings in Bakhmut every day. Not giving up the goal of taking control of Bakhmut, the enemy has regrouped its forces and resources on this direction”, she stated.

Malyar added that since the enemy usually loses in street battles, it resorts to total destruction of the urban development.

“It simply razes the city to the ground. This is done in order to deprive our defenders of the opportunity to hold positions in the city”, emphasized Malyar.

However, she concludes that Russians have not achieved their goal. Heavy fighting continues for Bakhmut. The situation is currently difficult but under control.

As we reported earlier, the enemy uses carpet bombing in Bakhmut. Russian aggressors have started using scorched earth tactics.
