This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“According to the orders of the so-called ‘Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic,’ actions are being taken to recruit individuals who are serving sentences or are detained for crimes of minor or moderate severity into the units of the internal troops”, the statement said.
It is noted that injuries sustained by convicts during combat do not absolve them of their criminal records, and for those individuals who were under investigation, suspicions will only be lifted upon demobilization. In addition, the terrorists have been tasked with intensifying efforts to combat crime and to replenish the units of the internal troops with 1,000 individuals suspected of committing criminal offenses.
As it became known, in Russia, from July 29 to August 2, 30 military enlistment offices were set on fire. The majority of those committing arson were pensioners or elderly people.
