This statement was made by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, during an event dedicated to the Crimean Platform.
“We will liberate Crimea. Most likely, it will happen militarily if the aggressor country does not understand by that time that it needs to leave our territory”, Danilov stated.
According to him, any other scenario regarding the peninsula would mean the preservation of the situation and passing the conflict to future generations.
“Only by driving Russia out of Crimea, pushing it into the Sea of Azov, will we understand that our state will have certain security guarantees for a certain period of time”, emphasized the official.
It’s worth noting that the third summit of the Crimean Platform will take place on August 23.
Some analysts had previously asserted that Ukraine lacks the resources for a successful landing in Crimea.
