This was reported by the Commander of the Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk.
The aircraft destroyed were a Su-34 bomber and a Su-35S fighter.
“Morning of February 19, 2024. Eastern direction. Another two enemy aircraft down! This is our land and our sky! Thanks to everyone for their combat work! More to come!..” – Oleshchuk wrote.
Over the weekend, the Air Force in the eastern direction shot down four Russian aircraft. These included three Su-34 bombers and one Su-35 fighter covering them.
It is worth noting that Russian Su-34 bombers carry heavy guided aviation bombs, known as KABIs. It was with these bombs that they bombed Avdiivka.
