This was announced by the spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat.
“The process, which has already been launched, has received seemingly green light from all participants of our newly formed aviation coalition, so we need to push forward as quickly as possible. Everything is ready in the Air Force. We are ready to receive the equipment, and the pilots are ready to depart and commence the training process”, he emphasized.
Ignat reminded that the lists of Ukrainian pilots for training have already been approved by the commander. The spokesperson emphasized that without aviation, it is difficult for the Ukrainian ground forces to advance and reclaim their territories. It should be noted that the U.S. State Department has stated that it will take months for the potential transfer of F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine, whether from the United States or from allies.
