The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the PMC “Wagner” is withdrawing from Bakhmut

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.

“Bakhmut. Wagner’s units are being withdrawn, and regular army units are taking their place. Our forces control the outskirts of Bakhmut in the southwest, near the ‘Litak’ area. There is also a replacement of enemy units taking place in the northern suburbs of Bakhmut. In the south of Bakhmut, the enemy is attempting to reinforce and increase their army units”, she stated.

Maliar noted that as of yesterday and this morning, there is no advancement on the flanks due to the execution of other tasks.

Recall that Mamuka Mamulashvili, the founder and commander of the Georgian National Legion, assures that the “Wagner” PMC fighters were practically eliminated in Bakhmut. However, the situation in the Bakhmut sector remains quite volatile.
