The situation in Bakhmut has changed in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

This was reported on the “Kyiv” TV channel by the commander of the strike drone platoon “ACHILLES” of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade, Yuriy Fedorenko.

“On the Bakhmut front, the situation has fundamentally changed, even compared to yesterday. The defense forces have shifted from active defense to offensive operations. The enemy was successfully pushed towards the Chasiv Yar-Bakhmut road. Also, in Bakhmut itself, the defense forces have taken measures that allowed them to repel the enemy from their positions. It can be said that on the Bakhmut front, the defense forces are taking the initiative. As for the retreat of some enemy groups, it should be noted that this is not a planned retreat. It is a systematic operation that forces the enemy to retreat, and some surrender as prisoners”, the commander reported.

Earlier, the commander of the Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that in some areas, the occupiers were pushed back by 2 kilometers. The general noted that a competent defense allowed for the exhaustion of the “Wagner” PMC, which led to the replacement of some of the mercenaries with less prepared units of regular Russian forces on certain fronts.
