The Slovak government will send demining machines to Ukraine

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Juraj Blanar.

Blanár emphasized that Slovakia wants to assist Ukrainians during the winter and will direct its humanitarian aid in that direction. Additionally, Slovakia is preparing assistance in the field of demining.

Specifically, the country will finance the production of two Bozena IV demining machines, which will later be handed over to Ukraine. These Slovak-made demining complexes are primarily designed for clearing areas contaminated with explosive objects.

They are remotely controlled and can clear up to 9 kilometers of territory within an hour. Each complex is accompanied by a team of five deminers: two with metal detectors lead the clearance after the machine, while two others collect remnants, and the commander oversees the entire process.

Similar machines are already in use in Ukraine, where they are demining areas in Kherson and Kharkiv regions.

Blanar also reiterated the words of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who stated that the country would not provide military aid to Ukraine. Earlier, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kalinak also announced that Slovakia would no longer transfer weapons from its own stocks to Ukraine.
