The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced this information.
“At the Russian fleet, there are fewer and fewer! This time, following the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet – the cruiser ‘Moscow,’ a large landing ship ‘Novocherkassk’ is heading,” he emphasized.
Loud explosions were reported at around 2:49-2:50 in the port of Feodosia. This information was shared on the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” citing its subscribers.
A video was also posted on the channel showing the ship burning and continuously detonating in the port area. It was mentioned that the ship likely brought “Shahed” vehicles from Iran.
The “Novocherkassk” landing ship is designed for amphibious landings on unprepared shores and transporting troops and cargo by sea. The vessel is capable of transporting various types of armored vehicles, including tanks.
This marks the sixth loss of enemy ships of Project 775 during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Previously, the “Saratov,” “Minsk,” and “Moscow” were destroyed, and the “Olenegorsk Miner,” “Orsk,” “Kunikov,” and directly the “Novocherkassk” were damaged.
Mykola Oleshchuk expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Air Force pilots and all those involved for their precise work. He addressed Russian military personnel, warning that this is not the last “gift.”
“Put on your pants and ‘go home’ from our Crimea while it’s not too late!” he stated.
