This was acknowledged by the Russian so-called Ministry of Defense.
They stated that “ten cruise missiles were launched” on the ship repair plant named after S. Ordzhonikidze in Sevastopol, as well as “three unmanned boats against a group of Black Sea Fleet ships in the sea passage” that night.
It is noted that the air defense system allegedly shot down 7 cruise missiles and also destroyed all the enemy’s maritime UAVs with the patrol ship of the occupiers “Vasyl Bykov”. Ukraine was accused of the nighttime attack.
“As a result of the cruise missile hits by the enemy, two ships undergoing repairs were damaged”, the Russian agency reported.
According to Russian media reports, this concerns the diesel-electric submarine “Rostov-on-Don”, which Russians used for shelling Ukraine, and the large landing ship “Minsk”. It is known that the “Rostov-on-Don” submarine was used by the Russians for attacks on Ukraine.
Later, sources from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) confirmed the damage to the Russian ship and submarine in Sevastopol. According to preliminary information, two workers were killed at the ship repair plant in Sevastopol, and more than 20 others were injured.
