This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, during a televised marathon.
“A political invitation of Ukraine to NATO is possible, and we will be waiting for it in Vilnius. We hope that our allies will be ready to discuss this at the summit”, she added.
According to the minister, the Ukrainian government believes that there are no objective reasons to refuse us an invitation to the Alliance at present. As previously reported, the Estonian Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna, will meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels to discuss Ukraine’s prospects for joining the Alliance.
