Ukraine has passed almost all laws required for EU accession, says head of “Servant of the People” Faction

This was announced by the head of the “Servant of the People” faction in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).

As of today, we have adopted 99.9% of what the European Union demands from us to initiate negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

He added that on September 21st, the Rada completed the consideration of the law on national minorities and discussed, in the first reading, the draft law regarding politically significant persons (PEP).

This is a specific document, and there have been many discussions about it, but I am confident that we will work on it, and in a few weeks, we will adopt it in the second reading. And that’s it – the parliament has completed its domestic work. We are passing the baton to the Cabinet of Ministers and will assist the government in everything where our support is needed”, he said.
