Ukraine hopes to receive a sufficient quantity of ammunition starting from April

This was reported by The Guardian.

“We hope that this Czech initiative, joined by Luxembourg, will help us, and starting from April, we will have enough ammunition to hold our front line”, the Prime Minister noted.

Shmyhal clarified that Ukraine also counts on the supply of long and medium-range missiles. This is necessary to disrupt the logistics of the Russians in temporarily occupied territories. “This is also very important for us, as well as artillery shells”, emphasized the head of the Ukrainian government.

It is worth recalling that Czech President Petr Pavel announced during the Munich Security Conference that Prague has found approximately 800,000 ammunition for Ukraine in third countries. Funds for this initiative have already been allocated by 13 countries, including Norway, Germany, and France. According to the Financial Times, Prague wants to raise one and a half billion dollars to pay for the ammunition.

However, it was later reported in the Czech Republic that they plan to expand the initiative after the purchase of the first 800,000 shells is financed.
