During an online meeting, Galushchenko briefed his Swedish colleague on the critical situation at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and the threat to nuclear safety due to the actions of Russian troops.
The parties also discussed the diversification of nuclear fuel supplies and the development of cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden in this regard.
“In addition, the parties discussed Sweden’s participation in the recovery of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which was ruined in continuous shelling by the Russian aggressor,” the Ukrainian Energy Ministry noted.
Galushchenko thanked Farmanbar for the aid the Swedish side had already provided to Ukraine, namely in terms of machinery and equipment. Meanwhile, the Swedish side expressed readiness to continue providing support for Ukraine’s energy sector.
