Ukraine to Confiscate Russian Ownership Shares in 6 Ukrainian Enterprises

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the materials of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to apply sanctions against the co-owners of the Russian corporation “Polyplastic Group,” seeking to confiscate their assets in favor of the state. The assets in question include six Ukrainian enterprises, among them two pipe plants.

Details It is noted that “Polyplastic Group” is a large industrial conglomerate specializing in the production of high-tech polymer pipes and composite polymer materials, which have a wide range of applications.

The prosecutor’s office found that the owners of this corporation support Russia’s aggressive policies. Specifically, they:

  • Provide material and technical support to the functioning of the occupation administrations in the Crimean peninsula;
  • Participate in the development of composite material for the improvement of firearms supplied to the Russian Ministry of Defense;
  • Supply polymers to enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex.

A pre-trial investigation is underway in a criminal proceeding for financing actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order (Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
