Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 20 attack drones and 2 missiles during the night

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that.

Russian aggressors attacked Ukraine with 20 Iranian-produced Shahed-136/131 attack drones on the night of July 13. The attack directions were northeast (Kursk) and southeast (Primorsko-Akhtarsk).

The enemy also launched two Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea and one ballistic missile, Iskander-M (Jankoy, temporarily occupied Crimea), according to the statement.

As a result of the combat operation, all 20 attack drones were destroyed, mainly in the Kyiv region. Two Kalibr missiles were also destroyed in different directions. Information regarding the consequences of launching the Iskander-M ballistic missile is being clarified, emphasized by the Air Force.

“Zenith missile units, strike aviation, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and air defense units of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy attack”, the statement said.

In the past 24 hours, the Air Force conducted more than 15 group aviation strikes against Russian forces. As previously reported, during the night of the Iranian drone attack on Kyiv, a dozen enemy targets were detected and destroyed in the airspace of Kyiv using air defense forces and equipment.
