The athlete herself shared this information in an interview with KYIV24.
“The current record was already 77 meters. It was updated two days ago. The competition took place here in the Caribbean. Maybe you watched the movie on Netflix about freediving, ‘The Deepest Breath’, which is about this tournament. It was my first time participating here. The depth was 200 meters, and it provided perfect conditions as the competition was not affected by weather or currents”, she said.
It is known that Kateryna Sadurska stayed underwater for 3 minutes and 12 seconds.
It is worth recalling that on July 27, Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan defeated a Russian athlete at the 2023 World Championships, but was subsequently removed from the championship due to her refusal to congratulate the Russian opponent.
However, on July 28, Olha Kharlan received an automatic qualification from the IOC for the 2024 Olympics.
