Ukrainian paratroopers have shot down Russian Mi-8 helicopter

The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported this. He shared a video showing the helicopter on fire.

“Excellent job by the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. It’s burning nicely. Well done, warriors”, wrote the general.

This is the third aircraft that Ukrainian military forces have shot down in the past few days. On October 10 and 13, they destroyed two Su-25 attack aircraft.

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost tens of thousands of units of military equipment, including 316 helicopters and 317 aircraft.
