“We will not allow any occupier to avoid responsibility”, Zelensky on the Russian missile attack

This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the night’s massive missile attack by the Russians.

“Tonight, the enemy once again attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. The targets of the terrorists were peaceful people and objects. As a result of the rocket attack in Uman, about 10 multi-storey buildings were damaged”, Zelensky said.

He reported that in one of the buildings in Uman, where an entire entrance was destroyed, people remain under the rubble.

“Unfortunately, there are casualties and fatalities, including a child. In Dnipro, the shelling by terrorists took the life of a child. My condolences to everyone who has lost their loved ones due to Russian terror”, Zelensky added.

The President thanked the Air Force, air defense forces, and everyone who is helping to overcome the consequences of enemy attacks and protect our people.

“This Russian terror must receive a just response from Ukraine and the world. And it will. Every such attack, every evil against our country and people brings the terrorist state closer to failure and punishment, not the other way around, as they think. We will not forget any crime and will not allow any occupier to avoid responsibility”, Zelensky emphasized.

As it is known, on April 28, Russia fired 23 cruise missiles at Ukraine, 21 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian forces. Two missiles hit city of Uman, with strikes on a residential high-rise and warehouses. As of 10:05 p.m it is known that 10 people were killed. Rescuers have pulled 17 people out from under the rubble. 33 units of equipment are working at the scene
