On April 28, Russia fired 23 cruise missiles at Ukraine, 21 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian forces.

This was reported by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny.

“Using anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the air defense forces of other components of the Defense Forces, 21 of 23 cruise missiles X-101/X-555 were destroyed, as well as two tactical unmanned aerial vehicles. The targets were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of the Central, Eastern, and Southern Air Commands”, he said.

Two missiles hit city of Uman, with strikes on a residential high-rise and warehouses. Seven people were killed in the missile strike.

During the night shelling by Russian occupiers of the city of Dnipro, a young woman and a three-year-old child were killed.

Eleven missiles and two unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over Kyiv. Debris damaged the road and power grid in the Obolonsky district, but there were no injuries.

Fragments of the enemy’s cruise missile fell in the Kyiv region. One of the missile fragments hit a multi-story building, injuring a 13-year-old girl.
