In the Kyiv region, communities continue to quit the Moscow Patriarchate. On Sunday, July 17, the parish in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka made a decision to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), according to the message of the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn.
“The community of the Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka village made an important historic decision today – the parishioners of the Archangel Michael Church voted to leave the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate and join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” he said.
Markushyn congratulated the village community for the pro-Ukrainian choice.
